POSITION SUMMARY
Supports the procurement team in sourcing materials, supplies and services required for manufacturing operations. Ensure timely purchasing, accurate documentation, cost control, data entry and coordination with vendors to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders for raw materials, tooling and supplies.
- Maintain accurate data entry of purchasing records, pricing data and vendor files in the enterprise resource planning system.
- Receive and review purchase orders and/or requisitions for accuracy.
- Assist in obtaining the necessary approvals for each purchase order based on the company’s approval matrix.
- Track order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- May request quotes and compare pricing, delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Support vendor communication regarding order confirmations, discrepancies and returns.
- Coordinate with receiving to resolve shipment and/or invoice discrepancies.
- Assist with supplier performance tracking (quality, delivery, cost).
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
- Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephone calls and handling routine correspondence.
- Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.

Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of purchasing or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment preferred or combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and/or familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to operate computers with Microsoft office.
- Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay Rate: The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
