First-Line Fire Extinguisher Co. is seeking a mechanically inclined, motivated individual to join our Marine & Industrial division as an Apprentice Fire Systems Technician. This is a hands-on opportunity to build a long-term career in a highly specialized trade that protects lives, vessels, facilities, and critical industrial equipment.
No prior fire protection experience is required. We provide comprehensive paid training, all required tools, and a company vehicle. Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Apprentice Fire Systems Technician, you will be trained to:
Install, inspect, service, and repair fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and fire alarm systems in marine and industrial environments
Assist with system diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components
Accurately document inspections, repairs, and installations to maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Work collaboratively with senior technicians, subcontractors, and site managers
Follow OSHA, MSHA, Coast Guard, and company safety protocols at all times
Develop the skills necessary to eventually guide and support junior technicians or small crews
Travel locally and regionally as needed for project work
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
Ability to obtain a Federal TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
Willingness to work alternative shifts and occasional weekends as project needs require
Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather and industrial conditions
Commitment to strict safety compliance
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Ability to commute to or relocate to Paducah, KY
