RICE Services Inc., (A 100% employee owned ESOP) is looking to hire an organized, professional entry level Data Analyst to join our team.
Fulltime position, Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Summary:
Join our dynamic team as an Data Analyst. In this pivotal role, the Data Analyst is responsible for developing, generating, and maintaining reports that support business operations, decision-making, and performance tracking. This role works with various departments to gather data requirements, design reports, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain operational, financial, and performance reports.
- Extract and analyze data from databases, systems, and reporting tools.
- Translate business requirements into clear and functional reports and dashboards.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used in reports.
- Collaborate with departments to understand reporting needs and improve reporting processes.
- Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and resolve data discrepancies.
- Document report specifications, data sources, and reporting procedures.
- Provide support and training to users on reporting tools and data interpretation.

Qualifications:
- Experience with reporting tools and data analysis.
- Knowledge of SQL, databases, and reporting software (BI tools such as Crystal, Tableau, SSRS, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Vista a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

Physical Requirements:
Must have the physical ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and mouse. Visual acuity to read detailed reports and computer screens. Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 15 pounds. Capability to communicate verbally in a clear manner. Ability to focus on tasks in an open office environment with moderate noise levels.
