Weekend Activity Assistant – Memory Care Unit

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities

- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors, fostering a warm and welcoming environment

- Assist residents with participation in activities, ensuring safety and comfort

- Collaborate with the care team to understand individual needs and preferences

- Maintain a clean and organized activity area

- Document resident participation and feedback to improve activity programs

Skills and Qualifications:

- Genuine interest in working with seniors, especially those with memory issues

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to be patient, compassionate, and attentive to residents’ needs

- Creativity in planning and executing engaging activities

- Previous experience in activity coordination, caregiving, or related fields is a plus

- Flexibility to work weekends and part-time hours

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
