In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and operations of cutting-edge, utility-scale energy storage systems. Your expertise will support the management of control systems across various plant locations. Accountabilities- Responsible for design, implementation, and operations of control system infrastructure
- Manage PPC, HMI, and RTU programming including technical documentation
- Support day-to-day plant automation tasks ensuring network reliability
- Provide technical support and analyze complex reported operation technology problems
- Oversee network technology upgrades and expansion projects
- Participate in on-field construction and plant commissioning activities
- Serve as subject matter expert for control and instrumentation systems
- Collaborate with internal groups and external EPC vendors during project phases
- Minimum BA/BS in a related field; electrical engineering degree preferred
- 5+ years of related industry experience, preferably in renewable energy
- Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and their applications
- Expertise in designing and maintaining plant control systems using SCADA and PLC platforms
- Understanding of data logging requirements and historian platforms
- Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition and Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like DNP3.0, Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT
- Programming experience in Python, IEC 61131-3, C, C++, C#
- Proficient in writing technical specifications for process or manufacturing equipment
- Strong understanding of cyber-security best practices in IT/OT standards
- Knowledge of NERC/CIP/NIST procedures
- Ability to articulate complex technical analyses clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
