About This Position
Position Summary
The Patient Services Support Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming referrals
from start to finish for assigned offices, ensuring appropriate documentation, scheduling,
and follow-through. This role is accountable for tracking referral status and producing both
weekly and monthly reports of referrals received, scheduled, and pending. In addition, the
Coordinator supports patient recall processes by contacting patients, scheduling
appointments, and maintaining accurate records. The role also provides assistance with
scanning patient registration forms when needed to support the front desk and serves as a
float resource for Patient Services Representatives (PSRs) or Technicians when coverage is
required within the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and track all incoming referrals for assigned offices, ensuring timely and
accurate processing.
- Collaborate with rural clinics to manage incoming referrals for assigned offices.
- Generate and distribute weekly and monthly referral reports (received, scheduled,
pending).
- Obtain, verify, and update patient information in the EMR.
- Provide support services to patients and medical staff, ensuring efficient workflow
and communication.
- Support recall workflows, including pulling recall lists, contacting patients, and
scheduling appointments.
- Provide scanning support for patient registration forms when needed to assist the
front desk.
- Follow applicable scheduling protocols and insurance/eligibility guidelines.
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality in handling patient information (HIPAA
compliance).
- Serve as float support for PSRs or Technicians in the region as needed.
- Collaborate with patient services and clinical staff to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements:Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or administrative
support role.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical referral workflows preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional and compassionate demeanor.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt in a dynamic clinical setting.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EMR systems.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Environment:
- Primarily a temperature-controlled office or clinic setting.
Physical Demands:
