We are seeking a results-driven IT Field Operations Manager to oversee the delivery, management, and support of globally deployed edge IT infrastructure systems. In this role, you will lead the Technical Operations (TechOps) team and manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring consistent service quality and operational stability. You will define and implement policies, processes, and standards to scale IT Field Operations efficiently while supporting business-critical initiatives. This role requires a hands-on, builder mindset, capable of navigating complex, distributed operations and driving cross-functional collaboration. You will influence strategic planning, manage budgets, and ensure seamless execution of IT support services across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and has experience in building high-performing IT support functions.
Accountabilities:- Manage end-to-end service delivery of global edge IT systems and oversee the TechOps support team
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT support vendors, ensuring SLA compliance, performance standards, and financial accountability
- Own and manage the IT Field Operations budget, including forecasting, cost tracking, and optimization
- Define, implement, and continuously improve policies, processes, and operational playbooks for scalable IT support
- Lead cross-functional projects to deploy new IT capabilities and services, ensuring successful rollout and adoption
- Collaborate with IT Engineering and Solutions teams to ensure ITSM and support tools meet evolving operational needs
- Serve as the primary escalation point for major operational incidents and coordinate resolution across teams and vendors
- Represent IT Field Operations in strategic discussions to align capabilities with long-term business goals
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations, technical support, or related fields, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
- Bachelors, Masters, or equivalent degree in a related field, or relevant practical experience
- Proven experience managing third-party vendors, managed service providers, or contingent workforces, including contract negotiation, performance management, and financial oversight
- Strong expertise in ITSM frameworks and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, ITIL) and IT infrastructure concepts (networking, SD-WAN, VPNs, monitoring systems)
- Experience scaling IT support functions, defining strategy, establishing processes, and managing service delivery teams
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills for stakeholder management and team leadership
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and make decisive operational decisions
- Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite deployment or critical IT operations support
- Flexibility for infrequent early morning, evening, or weekend work for critical incident response
