Pine Grove Seniors Community is seeking an experienced and compassionate Site Leader / Director of Care to provide overall leadership and clinical oversight for our long‑term care home in Kamloops. This is a senior leadership role for a results‑driven professional who is passionate about quality care, team development, and building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners.

As the Site Leader / Director of Care, you are responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day‑to‑day operations of the home. You will lead the interdisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality, safe, and compassionate care while fostering a positive workplace culture grounded in respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This role reports to the Vice President of Operations and plays a key role in advancing organizational priorities, accreditation readiness, and community engagement.
Leadership and Operations
- Provide visible, values‑based leadership for the home and interdisciplinary team
- Lead strategic and operational planning to support quality outcomes and organizational goals
- Create a respectful, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture
Resident Care and Clinical Oversight
- Ensure delivery of safe, person‑centred, and compassionate care in compliance with legislation and standards
- Oversee care planning, clinical practice, and quality improvement initiatives
- Act as a clinical resource and role model for best practices in long‑term care
Quality, Risk, and Accreditation
- Lead continuous quality improvement, risk management, and accreditation activities
- Monitor performance indicators and implement improvement plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and professional requirements
People and Financial Leadership
- Oversee staffing, labour relations, performance management, and staff development
- Promote recruitment, retention, and succession planning
- Manage budgets and financial performance while ensuring responsible stewardship of resources
Community and Partnerships
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, health authorities, and community partners
- Represent the community professionally and positively within Kamloops and surrounding areas
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in long‑term care or seniors housing
- Strong knowledge of long‑term care legislation, accreditation, and quality standards in British Columbia
- Proven experience leading interdisciplinary teams and managing complex operations
