About This Position
JOB SUMMARY
The Licensed Vocational Nursing Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and clinical support within a primary care medical practice. This role ensures high-quality patient care, efficient clinical workflow, compliance with medical standards, and effective supervision of clinical support staff. The LVN Supervisor supports physicians and providers through direct patient care activities, clinical oversight, and staff development.
Requirements:MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training
Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
Preferred: Additional coursework in leadership, supervision, or healthcare administration.
Experience
Minimum: 2+ years of nursing experience.
Preferred: 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role within a clinical setting.
Any combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration of this position.
Certification(s)
Current State LVN License
Current BLS Certification
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
· High level of emotional intelligence and professional judgment.
· Knowledge of clinical protocols, medical terminology, and best practices in patient care.
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and compassion.
· Skilled in patient education, documentation, and infection control procedures.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical, mental, and environmental demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role requires the capacity to stand for extended periods and occasionally perform heavy lifting. It may also involve walking and assisting patients for long intervals.
