This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based enterprise systems across a complex remote infrastructure. The Senior Windows Administrator / Platform Engineer will manage mission-critical environments and provide application support for key platforms, proactively resolving issues and optimizing system performance. This position requires both deep technical expertise and strong collaboration skills to support internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic IT environment, stays current with emerging technologies, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in maintaining documentation, implementing monitoring solutions, and enforcing security best practices to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain Windows server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and associated services.
- Provide expert technical support for Windows-based applications, troubleshooting and optimizing for performance and availability.
- Implement and monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability.
- Develop and enforce security policies and respond to incidents to protect IT resources and organizational data.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, processes, and service records.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to deliver IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to systems and processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Windows administration and enterprise application support, including platforms such as IBM FileNet and DataCap.
- Expertise in managing Windows Server environments, networking protocols, and infrastructure services.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell or Ansible.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
