About This Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Billing Specialist to support timely, accurate billing and reimbursement for services provided through our ECI program. This role is critical to ensuring financial sustainability while supporting clinicians in focusing on what matters most—serving children and families.
Experience with ECI and/or Medicaid billing is preferred but not required. We are open to training the right candidate who brings strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit claims accurately and timely for services rendered, including Medicaid and other funding sources
- Review documentation to ensure it meets billing and compliance requirements
- Track claims, follow up on denials, and resolve billing issues
- Maintain organized, confidential billing records
- Communicate clearly with internal staff regarding billing questions or missing information
- Support audits and compliance reviews as needed
- Identify trends or recurring issues and bring them forward for resolution
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in a related field preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with data entry and electronic systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Medicaid billing
- Experience in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI), healthcare, or human services billing
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or billing software
- Understanding of compliance and documentation standards
