About this Role:
The Community Impact Coordinator leads the development and execution of community engagement, financial wellness, and partnership initiatives that drive meaningful impact across the communities we serve.
This role connects community needs with organizational strategy by building strong partnerships, delivering financial education programs, and creating opportunities that support membership growth and long-term relationships. The position plays a key role in strengthening Securityplus’ brand presence while generating qualified referral opportunities for internal teams supporting membership and lending.
In addition, this role supports the exploration and early development of a future internship program aligned with Securityplus’ CARES values, helping to inform a pipeline of emerging talent and workforce development partnerships.
Requirements:In this full-time Exempt role, you’ll be responsible for:
Lead Community Impact Strategy
Identify and drive high-impact opportunities that align community engagement and financial wellness efforts with organizational growth, brand visibility, and member experience. Build scalable programs focused on financial health, career development, and economic opportunity. Conduct research to identify emerging community needs, partnership opportunities, and program innovations, and represent Securityplus at community events and forums to strengthen brand presence.
Build and Manage Strategic Partnerships
Develop and manage relationships with nonprofits, schools, workforce development programs, and community organizations. Serve as a primary relationship manager while building a strong pipeline of partnerships that expand reach and impact.
Deliver Financial Wellness Programs
Design and deliver financial education programs across in-person, virtual, and digital platforms. Create engaging content, manage program calendars, and continuously improve outcomes. Scale financial wellness initiatives across communities and delivery channels to increase reach and impact.
Plan and Execute Community Initiatives
Lead the planning and execution of community events, engagement initiatives, and pilot programs. Ensure programs are impactful, well-coordinated, and aligned with organizational priorities. Facilitate stakeholder sessions, focus groups, and community feedback forums to inform program direction.
Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Marketing, Member Experience, Lending, and leadership teams to align community initiatives with business goals, enhance financial education content and storytelling, and ensure community insights inform internal strategy. Generate and refer qualified Select Employer Group (SEG) and partnership opportunities to support membership growth and lending relationships. Engage employees in volunteerism and community initiatives to strengthen culture and CARES alignment.
Support Internship Program Development
Support the exploration and early development of a future internship program aligned with community impact and workforce development goals by contributing to research, program design concepts, and potential partnerships with colleges, universities, and workforce organizations.
Measure Impact and Drive Continuous Improvement
Track program performance, analyze results, and translate community insights into actionable strategies that inform decision-making. Use data and feedback to continuously refine programs and enhance impact.
How Success is Measured
- Impact: Expanding community reach and increasing participation in financial wellness programs and initiatives
- Engagement: Building strong partnerships and delivering effective financial education programs that improve participant outcomes
- Growth: Generating and referring qualified opportunities, including Select Employer Groups (SEGs), that support membership growth and lending relationships
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, program management, or partnership development
- 1–3 years of leadership or project leadership experience
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and project management abilities
- Ability to obtain CCUFC certification within a defined timeframe
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, community development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), nonprofit organizations, or community-based financial empowerment initiatives

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position involves typical office work such as the use of the PC, reviewing manuals and related office papers, the use of the telephone, fax, and photocopy machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, occasionally stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
