What Youll Be Owning

GRVTY is seeking a Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Reston, VA. The Sponsor applies technical resources for data engineering leveraging enterprise capabilities, where possible, to collect, ingest, format, and enrich open source data. The Sponsor requires software engineers to develop and maintain data exploitation platforms that support/enhance the data collection process. Additionally, the work will be performed within an existing team environment.

Responsibilities:

• The Contractor shall accelerate the timely, reliable, and secure delivery of publicly available data, and information, as described by the Sponsor to support automating data collection, transformation, and exploitation.
• The Contractor shall provide customized products and services for a wide variety of endeavors, including all operational and targeting components defined by the Sponsor, as well as several support elements.
• The Contractor shall utilize in-house capabilities and tradecraft as well as industry standards, to ensure the automated collection and structuring of publicly available, internet-based data, as specified by the Sponsor.
• The Contractor shall utilize in-house capabilities as well as publicly available information and industry standards to pinpoint locations of interest.
• The Contractor Team shall work closely with the Sponsors product owner and program manager to deliver user stories necessary to realize product vision.
• The Contractor Team shall coordinate with multiple entities, including mission partners, to ensure tools meet defined requirements.
• The Contractor Team shall apply DevOps principles and philosophies to continuously delivery high value enhancements to software in a service-based architecture.
• The Contractor Team shall support data engineering efforts to analyze large data sets to derive data relationships.
• The Contractor Team shall maintain all source code in Sponsor-wide, remote Git repository.

What You Must Have

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• Demonstrated experience working with ElasticSearch.
• Demonstrated experience using AWS to include S3, EBS, and EC2.
• Demonstrated experience in platform and application automated deployment.
• Demonstrated experience in cloud deployment, DevOps, containerization, web service and API management, and computing optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in cloud database, storage, virtualization, and network configurations
• Demonstrated experience implementing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines to support a multi-tenant environment.
• Demonstrated experience incorporating automated software quality checks, security scanning, infrastructure-as-code, and other modern DevSecOps tools and practices.
• Demonstrated experience working within cloud computing environments, Linux and Unix-based operating systems, and using ElasticSearch and Kibana.
• Demonstrated experience using requirements tracking programs such as JIRA or Confluence.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and managing software, hardware and networks.
• Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.

What Would Be Nice to Have

• Demonstrated experience working to accredit systems for the Sponsors cloud environment according to the Sponsors security requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in running DataCTRL ETL tool.
• Demonstrated experience using NiFi to ETL data.
• Demonstrated experience in Data Management.
