This role is responsible for defining and executing the global quality strategy for footwear and accessories, ensuring every product meets the highest standards from supplier to customer. The VP will lead a high-performing quality team, develop scalable systems, and drive supplier performance across multiple geographies. You will partner with cross-functional teams to embed quality by design, implement robust inspection protocols, and uphold regulatory compliance while enhancing consumer trust. This position demands a hands-on, strategic leader capable of shaping processes, influencing stakeholders, and delivering measurable improvements in product integrity. - Define and execute the global vision, policies, and roadmap for product quality and integrity across footwear and accessories
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global team of quality, compliance, and technical experts
- Oversee supplier onboarding, audits, compliance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives across 200+ suppliers
- Implement scalable inspection frameworks, product testing protocols, and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to embed quality by design into products
- Lead investigations and corrective actions for quality incidents, high returns, or recalls
- Ensure regulatory, ethical, and sustainability compliance across all products and suppliers
Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality assurance, product integrity, or compliance, preferably in footwear and accessories
- Proven success managing global quality operations with offshore suppliers
- Expertise in regulatory standards, testing protocols, and consumer safety compliance (e.g., CPSIA, Prop 65, REACH, ASTM)
- Strong ability to build teams, systems, and processes in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments
- Exceptional leadership presence and ability to align internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with a customer-first mentality, bias for action, and hands-on execution capability
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
