Position Summary
As an Occupational Therapist at The Geneva Suites, you provide individualized, person-centered therapy services within small residential assisted living homes. This role focuses on maximizing residents’ independence in activities of daily living, enhancing cognitive and sensory engagement, promoting safety, and supporting meaningful participation in daily life. You collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to integrate therapy into everyday routines in a true home-like environment.

What You Will Do
• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs and functional independence
• Improve residents’ ability to perform daily tasks such as dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility-related activities
• Address cognitive, sensory, and environmental barriers impacting daily function
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Train staff and families on compensatory techniques and safe care approaches
• Collaborate with nurses to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
• Support fall prevention and safety initiatives
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings
• Document therapy services accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
• Assist with smooth transitions during move-ins and move-outs
• Support end-of-life comfort positioning and functional adaptations
• Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (State of Minnesota)
• Strong clinical reasoning and geriatric rehabilitation expertise

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from accredited institution
