About This Position

Description:
  • Analyze financial statements (including performances ratios) of all levels of quality to develop initial assessment.
  • Prepare written analyses which include for new loan requests and annual requests: Credit investigation of the borrower and guarantors; economic and market conditions as they relate to the company, industry, and market area; in-depth historical financial analysis, including understanding of the company’s accounting practices and performance of “what if” scenarios; in-depth analysis of the secondary sources of repayment and of a guarantor’s financial position; ensure that records of sources and supported documentation are imaged and placed in credit file.
  • Provide a written analysis that includes a list of all strengths and weaknesses of a credit, including loan grade or alternative structure, to Relationship Manager.
  • Further support lenders by completing credit memos and/or periodic inspections for FSA and SBA guaranteed loans.
  • Review commercial and residential real estate appraisals to ensure that they comply with appraisal regulation and interagency guidelines.
  • Calculate and review borrower compliance with loan covenants and report any violations to a Credit Officer.
  • Develop and maintain a personal program for maintaining an adequate level of knowledge in lending, accounting and other banking matters, and demonstrate personal and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgment, communication and initiative with customers and employees in order to ensure an acceptable degree of performance.

HOURS will average approximately 38-40 per week. This position is budgeted for 2,080 hours per year.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • A good working knowledge of accounting, financial statements and tax returns.
  • Good interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn position-related software.
  • Ability to effectively use general office equipment.
  • General banking or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (two semesters of accounting preferred) or equivalent educational experience. (preferred)
