About the Role
HTI is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for one of our top clients in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. This is a hands-on role for a skilled mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys solving complex equipment issues.
In this position, you will support packaging and compounding operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior technicians and driving continuous improvement across the facility. What You Will DoTroubleshoot and repair major mechanical issues and intermediate electrical issues on production equipment
Support packaging and compounding operations to ensure efficient and effective production
Bring production lines back to a run-ready state across multiple buildings
Adjust and set basic sensors and assist with equipment setup
Fabricate and weld mechanical components to restore equipment functionality
Lead and execute line improvements and equipment modifications
Track mechanical parts usage and coordinate with MRO for replacement and purchasing
Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment, HMI navigation, and troubleshooting
Escalate downtime issues exceeding 15 minutes and support rapid resolution
Maintain a strong focus on safety and serve as a mechanical safety advocate
Collaborate with maintenance, packaging, and compounding teams to support production goals
What You NeedHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or high-speed production environment
Experience with mechanical systems and basic electrical troubleshooting
2–3 years of multi-craft maintenance experience preferred
Ability to read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
Intermediate understanding of electrical schematics
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience using electrical testing tools (multimeter)
Ability to mentor junior technicians and work effectively in a team environment
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment requiring attention to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Use of safety equipment, including safety glasses, is required on the production floor
