Job Title: Logistics Manager
Position Status: Exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Oversees the movement and general distribution of Morgan Li products globally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for all import duties; booking and reporting all inbound international shipments, including containers (300-500 annually) and airfreight from several forwarders, which also includes trade compliance and customs-related problem solving
- General distribution of Morgan Li products from all warehouses, including all small package, LTL, expedited and full truck load shipments. This also includes all rollouts/distros, which may require additional scheduling/planning, label and paperwork creation, quoting, and meetings/conference calls. Needs vary by client
- Schedule daily, weekly, monthly, etc. pickups as needed at each warehouse
- Supervise and ensures on-time delivery of products, ranging from basic follow-up to shipments requiring updates multiple times daily
- Problem solving and reporting any transit issues, including all inbound domestic and imported products as well as outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery. This ranges from small packages to containers/full truck loads
- Coordinate inbound shipping with purchasing, which includes all forms of transportation and expediting. This also includes scheduling delivery and pickup of all inbound import containers, which requires analyzing each packing lists to determine appropriate warehouse delivery
- Carrier selection: Work with several carriers to ensure that we the proper companies in place and ready at all times to meet of all of Morgan Li’s broad spectrum of swift needs. This requires maintaining base relations with several carriers across all platforms, which includes small package, sprinter van/couriers, LTL (common carriers and more specialized carriers that perform white glove), expedited straight trucks, full truckloads, blanket-wrap carriers, and freight forwarders for both containers and air cargo
- Schedule inbound loads for key account (Walmart); work with several freight brokers and their carriers to ensure the scheduled deliveries of 100-175 loads per month of refurbishment product
- Responsible for approving/analyzing all freight invoices, which includes PO creation for every outbound shipment which Morgan Li incurs cost. This also includes weekly disputes that must be made due to incorrect freight billing, and researching missing PO information for inbound product

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor Degree is desirable; or equivalent of 4 years of experience in Logistics Management
- Must have good communicational skills
- CPAT Certification is desirable
