We are looking for a Medical Assistant / LPN who will work closely with clients to determine their rehabilitation needs and to provide individualized treatment by providing structured as well as holistic healing. Supports clients with foundational well-being that develops the skills needed to overcome, heal & grow to sustain long-term sobriety.

The Medical Assistant/LPN plays a vital role in providing essential medical support services to our patients and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in various medical tasks and attention to detail will be crucial in delivering high-quality patient care.

SALARY / RATE: $20-30 per hour

What will your day look like? You will:

• UDS Logging: Accurately record and maintain Urine Drug Screen (UDS) results for patients, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.

• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate during clinic visits.

• Medication Management: Manage medication refill requests from patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers, ensuring timely and appropriate prescription refills.

• Pharmacy Liaison: Communicate and coordinate with pharmacies to process prescriptions, resolve medication-related issues, and ensure accurate dispensing.

• Referrals and Appointments: Assist patients in scheduling appointments with specialists, medical facilities, and other healthcare services as needed. Facilitate the referral process and coordinate follow-ups.

• Uploading Medical Paperwork: Ensure all medical records, test results, and paperwork are accurately scanned, uploaded, and organized in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• History and Physical Exams: Collect detailed history of incoming clients: including medical/surgical and substance abuse history.

What you will need for this position:

• Certified Medical Assistant or Licenced Practical Nurse.

• CPR Certified

• Previous experience in a medical support role, including phlebotomy experience, is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications.

• Proficient in handling and documenting vital signs accurately.

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for medical data management.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers effectively.
