Sr. Wordpress Developer at MICROVAST INC – Stafford, Texas

We are looking for a skilled WordPress developer to lead a modern site rebuild and ongoing web management for Microvast's digital presence. You will assess the current site, execute a structured modernization, and establish a clean, maintainable foundation and continue managing content, performance, and integrations. You will work closely with Legal, IT and Marketing stakeholders throughout.

Scope of work

• Audit current site: content structure, performance, and SEO baseline. Recommend a streamlined sitemap and page/template plan.
• Implement a clean, maintainable build using Elementor editor. No heavy legacy builders unless clearly justified.
• Configure or build a modern theme with reusable block patterns and editor-friendly page building for non-developer content management.
• Improve layouts, navigation, page hierarchy, typography, and overall polish with mobile-friendly layouts.
• Build and optimize contact and intake forms with routing, notifications, and CRM integration where applicable.
• Best-practice metadata, schema markup, redirects, indexation controls, image alt text, and internal linking — managed via Yoast SEO.
• Performance (Core Web Vitals)
• Caching strategy, asset loading, modern image formats (WebP/AVIF), and script management to achieve strong CWV scores.
• Set up GA4 with key conversion tracking: form submissions, CTA clicks, and call-to-action events.
• Social sharing, embeds, Open Graph tags, and any applicable LinkedIn feed or lead generation integrations.
• Plugin hygiene, site hardening, backup strategy, and a clean, documented update cadence.
• Organize and optimize image and video assets; light editing including resizing, cropping, compression, and basic video trimming.
• Cross-device and cross-browser QA, staging workflow management, go-live cutover, and post-launch validation.
• Provide a concise admin guide and handoff so the internal team can manage content without ongoing developer dependency.

Required skills & experience

• 3+ years building and maintaining WordPress sites using modern best practices
• Elementor editor workflows
• SEO fundamentals and technical SEO execution (Yoast SEO proficiency preferred)
• Performance optimization: Core Web Vitals, caching, image formats, script loading
• Security hardening and plugin governance
• GA4 setup and conversion / event tracking implementation
• HTML, CSS, responsive / mobile-first design
• Image and light video editing (resizing, compression, trimming)

This role can be remote.

This role is being filled as a 1099 contractor.
