About This Position
G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.
We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to be a key contributor to the performance of the G-3C & contract maintenance teams. This role will directly oversee the planners & contractor supervisor to drive help efficiency of weekly planning process & labor deployment ensuring safe work performance. The planning group helps organize needed resources (labor, materials, etc.) in advance to optimize deployment minimizing cost & maximizing asset utilization.
What You’ll Do
- EHS: Drives safe performance of maintenance team using behavioral based safety tools, pre-job planning, & absolute life critical policy adherence
- Maintenance Efficiency: Focuses team on building accurate job plans including labor hours & needed parts
- Planning team coordinates with stores to ensure material orders are properly prioritized and tracks status to provide timely execution by team
- Contractor Deployment: Ensures contract resources are deployed effectively to perform needed work on a weekly/daily basis
What You Bring
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years of experience overseeing maintenance teams, particularly in large scale petrochemical, refinery, or specialty chemical facilities.
- 2+ years in a supervisory role
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
- Planning Experience
- Demonstrated competency at building high performing teams
- Union experience

- Knowledge of computerized layouts, spreadsheets, & database management
- Strong communication, business, technical, analytical, & planning skills
- Ability to understand P&ID’s, PFD’s, capital estimates, T&C’s, manufacturing equipment drawings & processes
