This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of advanced RFID, IoT, and automation solutions across diverse industries including manufacturing, warehousing, retail, food, and supply chain logistics. The Senior Engineer drives technical excellence from pre-sales solution design through full-scale deployment and long-term production support, serving as a trusted advisor to clients. Collaborating closely with internal teams, customers, and technology partners, this position ensures scalable, reliable, and high-impact solutions. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, mentoring of junior engineers, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and operational efficiency. This is a high-visibility, hands-on position ideal for someone passionate about innovative technology and operational execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead pre-sales technical engagements to assess business needs and design end-to-end RFID and automation solutions
  • Conduct customer discovery sessions to analyze workflows, technical constraints, and system integration requirements
  • Design and validate solutions including hardware selection, RF design, system architecture, and integration strategies
  • Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring deliverables, milestones, and risks are tracked and managed
  • Oversee deployment activities including site surveys, proofs-of-concept, pilots, and full-scale implementations
  • Provide technical escalation support, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate issue resolution with teams and partners
  • Install, configure, and support RFID, IoT, and automation software across fixed, mobile, cloud, and hybrid environments
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the development of best practices, reference architectures, and reusable solution patterns

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting RFID and automation solutions in production environments
  • Strong expertise with RAIN RFID, AIDC technologies, and IoT architectures
  • Proven experience with complex or multi-site RFID deployments
  • Deep technical knowledge of RF systems, hardware/software integration, networking infrastructure, and hybrid environments
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Team-oriented approach with mentoring and knowledge-sharing experience
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, Linux, and JavaScript preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including Canada
