This is a high-impact executive leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling the organization’s national fundraising and marketing strategy. You will lead the integration of development and communications functions to drive sustainable revenue growth while strengthening brand presence across multiple channels and stakeholder groups. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will oversee enterprise-wide fundraising initiatives spanning foundations, corporations, and individual donors. The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership, regional executives, and board members to align revenue strategies with mission priorities. You will also play a central role in enabling and supporting state-level fundraising efforts through tools, guidance, and centralized resources. This position is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader who thrives in mission-driven environments and is passionate about building systems that scale impact nationally.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive national fundraising strategy spanning foundation, corporate, and individual giving.
  • Set and oversee annual and multi-year revenue goals aligned with organizational priorities and growth plans.
  • Drive donor cultivation, acquisition, engagement, and stewardship strategies to improve retention and long-term support.
  • Provide centralized tools, training, and strategic guidance to regional executive leaders responsible for local fundraising.
  • Oversee marketing, communications, and brand strategy to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all channels.
  • Align marketing initiatives with fundraising objectives to increase awareness, engagement, and donor conversion.
  • Lead and develop high-performing development and marketing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Partner with executive leadership and governance stakeholders to strengthen fundraising strategy and external relations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit development or advancement.
  • Proven success in building and scaling multi-channel fundraising programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong experience in marketing, communications, or brand strategy within mission-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure and manage relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience leading senior-level teams in complex, multi-state or national organizations.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills at executive level.
