About This Position

Assistant Vice President, Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Assistant Vice President, Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology in the United States.

This senior scientific leadership role sits at the intersection of clinical pharmacology, quantitative modeling, and drug development strategy, supporting global biopharma clients in advancing therapies from early development through regulatory submission. You will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering advanced modeling and simulation work, including PBPK, PK/PD, and population pharmacokinetics, to inform critical development decisions. Operating in a fully remote and highly collaborative consulting environment, you will act as both a scientific authority and strategic advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities across complex, multi-project programs. You will also engage directly with regulatory authorities, shaping submission strategies and scientific narratives. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence drug development programs across the global pharmaceutical landscape.

Accountabilities

Lead and oversee quantitative clinical pharmacology programs, ensuring scientific rigor, regulatory alignment, and successful delivery of complex client projects across drug development lifecycles.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering clinical pharmacology, pharmacometric, and MIDD-based development strategies
  • Provide expert guidance on study design, protocol development, data analysis, and clinical interpretation of modeling results
  • Conduct and oversee advanced PBPK, PK/PD, population PK, and exposure-response modeling and simulations using industry-standard tools
  • Ensure scientific integrity, methodological appropriateness, and accuracy of analyses and outputs across projects
  • Act as a key client interface, maintaining strong relationships and communicating strategic, regulatory, and scientific insights
  • Support regulatory interactions and contribute to submission documents including CTD modules, briefing books, and regulatory responses
  • Contribute to business development through proposal development, scoping, budgeting, and strategic input
  • Mentor junior scientists and contribute to internal training, workshops, and scientific development initiatives
Requirements

This role requires deep expertise in quantitative clinical pharmacology, strong leadership capability, and extensive experience supporting drug development programs in industry or consulting environments.

  • 12+ years of applied clinical pharmacology experience in drug development or related fields
  • Advanced expertise in PBPK, PK/PD, population PK modeling, and exposure-response analyses
  • Strong hands-on experience with tools such as GastroPlus, NONMEM, MonolixSuite, R, or equivalent platforms
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary scientific projects or programs
  • Experience contributing to regulatory submissions and interacting with health authorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging scientific and executive audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Advanced degree (MS required; PharmD or PhD preferred) in pharmacometrics, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, statistics, or related field
Benefits
  • Fully remote work environment within the United States
  • Competitive salary range: $175,000 – $215,000 annually
  • Annual performance bonus and stock/equity opportunities
  • Flexible scheduling and strong work-life balance culture
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off and holiday policy
  • Opportunities for professional development, conferences, and scientific publishing
  • Access to cutting-edge modeling, simulation, and AI/ML-driven tools in drug development
  • Collaborative, science-driven culture with global client exposure
