PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Under the direction of the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Pool Manager, oversees the pool operation while maintaining pool safety.
Pay Range is $16.90 - $18.00

What you'll do
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Responsible for maintaining pool area safety by enforcing all rules set by the Director of Parks and Recreation and Pool Manager, by observing those rules personally, by exercising any extra cautions necessary and by taking appropriate disciplinary action if any rules are broken.
B. Must be alert and ready to handle emergencies and accidents. Also is responsible for maintaining a clean and pleasant environment by picking up litter in the pool, beach, marina, recreation center, locker rooms, lifeguard station and any other areas specified by the Director of Parks and Recreation and Pool Manager.
C. Responsible for checking members and their guests through the pool gate and collecting entrance fees.
D. Test and maintain pool for safe chemical levels when required.
E. Any other duties as may be required and/or assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A. Must be at least 15 years of age.
B. Must possess current First Aid, C.P.R. for the Professional Rescuer, State and Red Cross required certificates, Lifeguard Training, Basic Lifesaving and Title 22.
C. Work permit if not a graduate of High School.
