Reliability Manager at 21 AIR LLC – Greensboro, North Carolina
About This Position
The Reliability Manager provides strategic oversight of the 21 Air Part 121 Reliability Program. The role ensures fleet health, data-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability performance. The position acts as a cross-functional liaison between Maintenance Engineering, CASS, Maintenance Control, and Flight Operations to align technical performance with operational objectives. Reliability Manager is responsible for strategic oversight of the 21 Air Part 121 Reliability Program, this position leads fleet performance monitoring, trend analysis, regulatory compliance, and corrective oversight to ensure optimal fleet health, operational reliability, and cost efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and administer the FAA approved reliability program.
- Chair reliability review meetings and drive corrective action accountability.
- Oversee monitoring of repeat discrepancies, ATA trends, and unscheduled removals.
- Manage DMI aging analysis and MEL compliance performance.
- Support AOG trend analysis and preventive strategies.
- Develop executive-level Fleet Health & Reliability dashboards.
- Present weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports to leadership and customers.
- Ensure reliability processes scale with fleet growth and operational expansion.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or/and, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Part 121 or reliability.
- Strong knowledge of CASS, MEL, AD/SB processes, and reliability methodology.
- Advanced analytical and leadership communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to give verbal and written directions to assigned staff.
Physical Requirements
- Light work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach to maintain files, sit for extended periods of time.
- The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
Travel
- Some travel may be required for operational needs.
