POSITION PURPOSE

The Formsetter works as a member of a team to complete the setup and pour processes for various product types.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Collect and prepare materials as directed
  • Prepare and clean forms
  • Read blueprints and shop tickets
  • Identify and report shop ticket errors
  • Measure and mark locations for placement of items in forms
  • Direct or assist with concrete pours as needed
  • Direct or assist with raking, screeding, and leveling concrete as needed
  • Operate various types of equipment such as hoists, overhead cranes, hand and power tools
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations

  • Supervised
  • Tasks are typically assigned
  • Works as a member of a team
  • May direct or coordinate the work of Bed Utility team members as instructed by supervisors or group leaders

EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous general construction experience preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT / SCHEDULE
  • Sheltered, outdoor environment
  • Work area is not climate controlled and may be exposed to changing weather and temperature conditions
  • Monday – Friday
  • Schedule varies with workload and location
  • Unscheduled overtime may be required depending on business needs
PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE)
  • Safety glasses
  • High-visibility vest
  • Hard hat
  • Steel-toed shoes
  • Hearing protection
  • Gloves (various types)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires standing for long periods of time, lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and bending, repetitive motion with medium force, and an ability to frequently climb up to 15 feet above ground using stairs.
