SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Director / Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company's financial health and strategic growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage accounting operations encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Supervise and guide the accounting team, promoting a collaborative, high-performance workplace culture.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports to senior management, offering actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and timely filings.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, guaranteeing accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, engaging with external auditors and supplying all required documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities to sustain the company’s financial stability.
  • Design and implement internal controls to protect company assets and uphold financial integrity.
  • Assist in developing and executing financial policies and procedures.
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making through thorough financial analysis and insights.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with various teams to drive process enhancements and address business requirements.
  • Contribute to collective goals by achieving related outcomes as needed.
  • Promote efficiency and productivity within the accounting organization while delivering exemplary customer experiences
Requirements:

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software and consolidation of financials
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a cross functional team environment.
  • A “Results Oriented” attitude coupled with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Employment Conditions:
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
