About This Position
Overview
The HVAC Tech / Coil Cleaning Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role focuses heavily on cleaning HVAC and refrigeration coils, often located on rooftops at customer sites. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑minded, and able to follow instructions with accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and related systems, including forced air, hydronic, split systems, package units, make‑up air units, exhaust systems, and system controls
Clean HVAC and refrigeration coils using approved procedures, equipment, and cleaning solutions
Access rooftop units safely and complete work in outdoor environments
Read, interpret, and apply written and verbal instructions
Complete thorough and accurate in‑process photo documentation
Prepare required paperwork with attention to detail and accuracy
Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional customer‑service approach at all times
Qualifications
• Experience in HVAC maintenance or coil cleaning preferred
Ability to work at heights and in outdoor settings
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to company processes
Reliable, professional, and safety‑conscious
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if applicable)
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, climb and work on ladders and move equipment as needed
Comfortable working on roofs and in various weather conditions
Ability to stand, climb, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
