Epsilon Systems Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Driver II in National City, CA.
Job Summary: The Driver II is responsible for operating company vehicles to transport materials and personnel between various locations, including company facilities, offices, military installations, and shipyards. This role includes delivering and picking up packages, verifying shipments, and occasionally using a forklift to move or unload materials.
Responsibilities:
Transport materials—both liquid and packaged—and personnel to designated locations such as facilities, offices, military bases, and shipyards.
Verify shipments by checking loads against shipping documents.
Follow established procedures and drive safely, using knowledge of local roads and commercial driving regulations.
Prepare receipts for materials picked up.
Maintain required truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations (if applicable).
Stay in communication with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Load and unload vehicles as needed.
Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and coolant.
Perform basic roadside repairs such as changing tires, replacing bulbs or fuses, installing tire chains, and similar tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 4 years of driving experience.
Valid Class C Driver’s License.
Clean driving record.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Strong knowledge of the local metropolitan area and ability to navigate using GPS, maps, and written directions.
General understanding of basic warehousing procedures and workplace safety standards (must comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental policies).
Professional conduct and demeanor.
Ability to obtain and maintain access to military/government installations and private shipyards.
Preferred requirements:
Current forklift operator certification.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this is $23.00 to $30.00 per hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education and experience.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Frequent standing, sitting, crawling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, walking, handling materials, and reaching with hands and arms.
Regular verbal communication and hearing.
Good vision required.
Occasional lifting of 50+ pounds.
Exposure to noisy or very noisy environments.
Work performed in an industrial setting.
