About This Position
Position Summary:
A Production Support Technician plays a crucial role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring exceptional quality standards across our operations, with focus on daily support of production operations and identifying quality risks, supporting improvement initiatives, documenting best practices, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Core Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze potential risks to consistent quality outputs.
- Support departmental efforts to enhance quality through inspections, research, and comprehensive documentation.
- Document and communicate best practices, non-conformances, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide coaching, support, and education to employees on quality methodologies and tools.
- Contribute to the reduction of quality-related cost drivers.
- Conduct in-process inspections on the production floor, documenting findings and collaborating with operations leadership.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to implement process improvements.
- Investigate internally identified improvement opportunities, determining root causes and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, including root cause and corrective/preventive action analysis.
- High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in complex issue resolution.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Success Measures:
- Reduction in Production caused non-conformances and recurrence.
- Reduction in Cost of Quality.
- Improved “Quality Mindset” ownership of production team members.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical Days and hours worked are Monday through Friday, with starting time negotiable at hire. May require overtime as needed.
Physical Demands
This position will require an employee to be able to work sedentary at a desk and physically on the production floor environment with varying noise levels.
