- Feed and care for neonatal kittens and puppies on structured schedules
- Monitor health, weight, and development closely
- Maintain clean, sanitized nursery spaces to prevent disease
- Follow detailed care protocols to support fragile animals
- Document feedings, observations, and daily care activities
- Support intake and transition to foster or adoption programs
- Work alongside a team committed to animal care and safety
- Compassion for animals, especially those needing extra care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow routines
- Reliability and consistency in completing tasks
- Comfort with cleaning and maintaining sanitary environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
This role works in an animal shelter environment and includes exposure to:
- Animal dander
- Disinfectants and cleaning solutions
- Noise and strong odors
- Stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 30 pounds
- Perform frequent cleaning and handling of animals
