This role focuses on designing and delivering high-impact professional learning experiences for school and district leaders across the country.
The specialist will translate instructional leadership frameworks and research-based practices into practical, usable tools for educators.
They will build asynchronous learning content that strengthens leadership capacity and drives measurable school improvement.
Working in a fully remote and collaborative environment, the role partners closely with subject matter experts and design teams.
The work directly influences instructional quality, coaching practices, and student achievement outcomes.
It is a contract opportunity running from April through December, with potential for extension based on project needs.
The ideal candidate blends real-world school leadership experience with strong instructional design and adult learning expertise.
- Design and develop engaging asynchronous learning experiences such as e-learning modules, toolkits, job aids, templates, and leadership resources supporting school and district leaders.
- Translate leadership frameworks (including PSEL and similar models) and instructional priorities into clear, actionable resources that improve instructional practice.
- Create implementation tools supporting coaching cycles, data-driven instruction, observation and feedback, and school improvement planning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, instructional experts, and production teams to ensure content accuracy, alignment, and instructional impact.
- Apply adult learning theory and microlearning principles to build accessible, engaging, and effective professional learning experiences.
- Review and refine existing learning materials to ensure consistency, coherence, and alignment across leadership development programs.
- Contribute to centralized resource libraries and structured learning pathways for leaders, onboarding, and professional development programs.
- 2–5 years of experience in educational leadership, instructional coaching, talent development, or related roles at school or district level.
- Strong background as a principal, assistant principal, instructional coach, or district leader with hands-on leadership experience.
- Proven ability to design professional learning content or instructional materials for adult learners.
- Deep understanding of instructional best practices, coaching cycles, and data-driven decision-making in education.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts into practical, usable tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and web-based tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and pass required background checks.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership, instructional design certification, and familiarity with frameworks such as PSEL.
- Competitive hourly compensation of approximately $30/hour, depending on experience and location.
- Fully remote work arrangement open to candidates across all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C.
