This role is designed for an experienced Salesforce expert who will shape enterprise-grade architecture and drive impactful digital transformation initiatives across nonprofit and higher education environments. You will act as a strategic advisor and technical leader, guiding clients through complex CRM and platform modernization efforts. The position blends hands-on architectural design with high-level client engagement, including direct collaboration with senior stakeholders such as CIOs and academic leadership. You will contribute to pre-sales strategy, solution design, and delivery oversight while ensuring scalable and sustainable Salesforce implementations. The role requires strong leadership in cross-functional environments and the ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. You will also play a key role in mentoring teams and influencing best practices across delivery. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape mission-driven organizations through innovative Salesforce solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead Salesforce solution architecture design across nonprofit and higher education engagements, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing implementations.
  • Collaborate with executive-level stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into effective CRM and digital transformation strategies.
  • Support business development efforts, including RFP contributions, solution positioning, and Salesforce Education Cloud go-to-market initiatives.
  • Provide architectural leadership across integration design, system interoperability, and platform optimization strategies.
  • Mentor and guide senior consultants and delivery teams to ensure technical excellence and adherence to best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining deep understanding of their business needs and long-term technology roadmap.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, speaking engagements, and partner collaboration initiatives.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through content creation, blogs, and strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, ideally supporting nonprofit and higher education clients.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, including integration patterns, platform design, and enterprise scalability.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce technologies and the ability to evaluate trade-offs between architectural approaches.
  • Hands-on experience with Apex and ability to support or guide development efforts when needed.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and consensus-building skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to executive audiences.
  • Experience in consulting environments, with exposure to business development and pre-sales activities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-driven, and client-facing environments.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary range: 165,000 to 185,000 USD annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Annual discretionary bonus eligibility.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • HSA/FSA options and fertility and family planning support.
  • Generous 401(k) matching with immediate vesting.
  • Flexible unlimited time off and 11 paid federal holidays.
  • Flexible career progression paths supporting growth, mobility, and long-term development.
  • Inclusive, people-centered culture focused on wellbeing and work-life balance.
