Psychiatrist MD at Metrodoc Urgent Care – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatrist MD to join our a remote company You will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and psychotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, mental status examinations, and review of medical history.
• Diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders according to the DSM-5.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, which may include psychotherapy, medication management, or a combination of both.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects.
• Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to support patients in managing their conditions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as therapists, nurses, and primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated care for patients.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in mental health treatment by attending conferences and workshops.

Qualifications

• MD degree with a specialization in Psychiatry
• Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
• Valid medical license in the state of practice
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with a diverse population
