Position Summary
PowerRise is seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee the efficiency, resource allocation, and service delivery standards of our field teams. In this critical role, the Manager, Field Operations will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary workforce of field professionals (including construction oversight and technical engineering staff), ensuring that all site activities align with PowerRise’s rigorous safety, quality, and compliance protocols. You will serve as the primary operational liaison to our clients, ensuring our field resources are effectively deployed to meet infrastructure goals and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
• FIELD WORKFORCE GOVERNANCE AND OVERSIGHT:
• Provide operational leadership and mentorship to a diverse team of field professionals, ensuring consistent adherence to PowerRise’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Optimize resource utilization across the Mid-Atlantic region, ensuring the right mix of technical and operational talent is deployed to meet project demands.
• Conduct regular operational audits to verify that all field activities comply with internal performance benchmarks, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration between technical engineering staff and site operations teams to streamline service delivery.
• CLIENT SERVICE DELIVERY AND OPERATIONAL SUCCESS:
• Partner with client stakeholders to define operational success metrics and ensure PowerRise’s field teams are meeting or exceeding performance targets.
• Lead "Service Delivery Reviews" to analyze portfolio health, identify bottlenecks in field operations, and implement process improvements.
• Translate client infrastructure objectives into actionable staffing and operational plans, ensuring seamless execution of service mandates.
• Act as the senior escalation point for operational challenges, focusing on dispute resolution and maintaining high client satisfaction scores.
• COMPLIANCE, SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE:
• Champion a "Zero Harm" safety culture, maintaining strict oversight of OSHA and NESC compliance across all field operations.
• Develop and enforce rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) frameworks to minimize rework and ensure technical precision in all field deliverables.
• Analyze operational data and safety metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in field performance.
Qualifications
• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field with more than 10 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with more than 14 years of progressive experience in utility operations or field leadership in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary field teams, specifically overseeing both technical (engineering) and operational (execution) personnel.
Strong background in regulatory compliance, safety governance, and resource management.
Proven ability to nurture senior-level client relationships through operational excellence and consistent service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience optimizing workflows for distributed field teams.
Background in utility grid modernization or infrastructure maintenance operations.
PMP or CCM certification.
