About the Role:

The Flex Officer program intends to showcase ProGuard’s finest security officers. The arrangement is intended to benefit the employees and the Company. The Flex/ Officer program also attempts to promote Security Officer development and training. Ideally, Flex/ Officers will gain a broad and specialized knowledge of various high-profile posts. Flex/ Officers will be evaluated for leadership and further growth potential. Strong and reliable performance as a Flex/ Officer will earn the Security Officer consideration for assignment to supervisory or other leadership posts. Ideally, Flex Officers will develop career paths to further growth within the Company.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a security guard or in a related security role.
• Proficiency with intermediate computer skills including basic software and security monitoring systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and via radio communication.
• Physical capability to perform repetitive motions, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms as required.
• Must be available to work 2 shifts (Day, Swing, Grave) and available at least 5 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in security or law enforcement training programs.
• Experience with advanced wireless technology and electronic access control systems.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Familiarity with emergency response protocols and incident reporting software.
• Additional language skills to support diverse workplace environments.
• Ability to drive a vehicle on behalf of the company

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Operate and monitor access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
• Use wireless and radio communication devices to coordinate with security team members and report incidents promptly.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, documenting incidents accurately and reporting to management as required.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing information and enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and reaching with hands and arms to inspect facilities and equipment.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, irregularities, and any security breaches.

The required skills are integral to the daily functions of a Security Officer, enabling effective monitoring and communication across the security team. Intermediate computer skills allow the officer to operate security software and maintain accurate records of incidents and patrols.
