As the Manager, Financial Consulting, you’ll:

  • Provide hands-on leadership and strategic oversight to the Financial Consulting team, including assigning workloads, setting clear performance expectations, and ensuring team members have the tools, guidance, and support needed to consistently deliver high-quality, client-focused services.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the ASAP Financial Process, ensuring effective management of timelines, deliverables, and client communication. Support continuous improvement of processes and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Oversee the Historic Performance Analysis (HPA) process, ensuring accurate analysis of historical financial data, identification of key trends, and delivery of actionable insights to support informed member decision-making.
  • Serve as a key advisor to clients by identifying financial opportunities and challenges, providing customized recommendations, and helping clients interpret complex financial information to guide decision-making.
  • Offer proactive guidance in areas such as budget creation, forecasting, and variance analysis, historical performance reviews and trend identification, managerial and entity operations, Business Model Simulation (BMS) and scenario planning, custom financial consulting deliverables tailored to unique client goals.
  • Implement and manage a peer review process that promotes accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all deliverables. Maintain accountability for service excellence across the department.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Accounting and other internal teams (Tax, Business Solutions, etc.) to provide integrated support that meets the full scope of client financial needs.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial consulting processes, tools, and systems. Implement best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability of services.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Strategic Partnerships and Marketing teams to support the development and pricing of Financial Consulting services. Monitor service profitability through CRM and make recommendations for adjustments to service structures and pricing when necessary.
  • Identify training needs for both new and existing staff. Develop and lead internal training sessions and mentoring programs to ensure consistent performance and ongoing skill development across the team.
  • Prepare materials for internal and client-facing presentations. Lead training, informational sessions, or workshops that promote financial literacy and engagement with consulting tools and services.
  • Contribute to the development and oversight of the department’s annual budget. Monitor expenses and allocate resources efficiently to meet departmental objectives and client commitments.
  • Stay informed about financial regulations, trends, and tools relevant to agricultural business operations and consulting practices. Ensure compliance and position the department as a forward-thinking, value-driven resource for clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8-10 years of experience in financial consulting, advisory services, or financial planning
  • At minimum 2 years in a leadership or team management role
  • Experience with audit support, ERP platforms, and complex financial reporting tools preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting platforms such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sag
  • Proficiency in CRM and project management software
  • Ability to create and present financial narratives and strategy
  • CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred but not required
