Wage & Hour Intake Attorney (Class/PAGA) at Blackstone Law – Beverly Hills, California

Salary range: $130,000 - 160,000/yr. Salary commensurate with experience.

We’re seeking an experienced Wage & Hour Intake Attorney to assess potential claims under California labor law, with a focus on class action and PAGA matters, and identify which cases are viable for representative litigation. The role involves conducting legal and background research, reviewing key agreements, and gathering additional facts through client and referral-partner communication. You’ll also help keep case information organized by maintaining internal tracking and intake systems.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze prospective wage and hour claims for potential class action and PAGA litigation, identifying viable causes of action and assessing suitability for representative action under California labor law.
• Conduct legal and litigation research using LexisNexis, CNS, and Trellis to evaluate company litigation history, prior filings, arbitration enforcement trends, and relevant case law.
• Review severance agreements, arbitration agreements and collective bargaining agreements for Unions to assess enforceability.
• Perform corporate and financial research using Dun & Bradstreet, ZoomInfo, PPP databases, public records, and other investigative tools to evaluate company size, revenue, employee headcount, and overall case feasibility.
• Communicate directly with prospective and existing clients to obtain supplemental facts if needed.
• Maintain and update internal tracking systems regarding related cases.
• Evaluate cases referred by outside referral partners to determine whether matters warrant intake, further investigation, or declination based on legal merit.

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensure: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• 3+ years of employment law experience (plaintiff-side strongly preferred)
• Deep understanding of employment claims, particularly wage & hour
