POSITION DETAILS:
Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. (ARC), provides trauma-informed mental health and substance use disorder treatment in Southern Oregon, with a strong focus on youth and family services.
What You’ll Do:
Your day-to-day work focuses on providing trauma-informed mental health care within a structured juvenile detention setting, while collaborating with partner agencies to support continuity of care and re-entry planning
.
On a typical week, you will:
· Provide centralized medical support across residential, withdrawal management, outpatient, and clinic programs
· Assist with medical screenings, vital signs, intake support, and appointment preparation
· Process and implement provider orders under medical team direction
· Coordinate medication ordering, inventory management, storage, and documentation (including MARs)
· Serve as a liaison between program teams and medical providers to ensure timely communication and follow-up
· Support referrals, appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, and continuity of care with internal and external providers
· Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in the EHR and medical records
· Apply safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards in alignment with agency policies
· Provide basic health education in collaboration with the medical team
· Support trauma-informed and client-centered care practices

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a medical specialist who brings strong organization, thoughtful communication, and steady professionalism — someone who understands that consistent medical support helps create safety, stability, and trust in client care.
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· CPR/First Aid certification
· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
· EMT, or equivalent medical certification strongly suggested
· Strong understanding of medical terminology
Preferred:
· Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of medication administration processes and safety standards
· Experience with MARS documentation and medication coordination
· Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
· Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Experience in healthcare, residential, or treatment settings is a plus, but not required.

Compensation
$25.48 - $29.30 per hour for a 32-hour work week. Equivalent to approximately $42,399 to $48759 annually, not including any additional hours worked Pay is based on experience, demonstrated skills, and qualifications
Work-Life Balance
- Four-day workweek (32 hours) for all ARC staff 10 paid holidays each year (many convert to floating holidays if worked or if they fall on your regular day off)
- Vacation and sick time begin accruing immediately, with up to three weeks of vacation and two weeks of sick time earned during your first year.
