About the Role:
The Inventory Control/Inbound Lead Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the flow of inbound inventory to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency within the supply chain. This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and proper documentation of incoming goods, coordinating with multiple departments to maintain inventory accuracy and availability. The role requires proactive problem-solving to address discrepancies, delays, or quality issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. The coordinator will lead a team focused on inbound logistics, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in processes. Ultimately, this position ensures that inventory levels are accurately maintained to support business needs and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily inbound inventory activities, including receiving, inspection, and documentation.
- Lead and support the inbound team to ensure efficient processing of shipments and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies and improve inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and update records in inventory management systems to reflect real-time data.
- Analyze inbound processes and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors.
