Responsibilities

  • Global Tax Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive domestic and international tax strategies to minimize global tax liability while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Transfer Pricing: Partner with our outside tax advisors to design and implement a defensible global transfer pricing framework, including documentation, intercompany agreements, and audit support.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Oversee the preparation and partner with our outside tax preparer for the filing of domestic and international tax returns, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118, as well as VAT/GST and other indirect taxes.
  • Tax Provision & Accounting: Manage the domestic and international tax component of quarterly and annual financial statements, including foreign tax credit analysis, and FIN 48/ASC 740 reserves.
  • Audit & Controversy: Lead responses to IRS and foreign tax authority inquiries, managing tax audits and disputes in foreign jurisdictions.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Coordinate the tax structuring and due diligence support for domestic and international expansion, acquisitions, dispositions, and legal entity restructuring.
  • Advisory & Compliance Monitoring: Monitor changes in global tax laws (e.g., BEPS, Pillar Two) and assess their impact on the business, providing proactive recommendations.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor and develop internal tax staff, and act as the primary liaison with external advisors and tax authorities.


Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Tax. Master’s in taxation or LLM highly preferred.
  • Certification: Active CPA
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive domestic and international tax experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role (Big 4 accounting firm or in-house within a multinational corporation).
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in U.S. international tax rules (GILTI, FTC, FDII), transfer pricing principles, and OECD guidelines.
  • Systems: Proficiency with tax reporting software (e.g., ONESOURCE) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite).

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build a high-performing tax team.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, critical thinking, and research skills.
  • Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with Business Units, Treasury, Legal, Accounting, FP&A and our outside Tax Advisors and Preparers.
