We're looking for a Fleet Maintenance Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for Lease & Rental customers, coordinating all aspects of vehicle service from initial customer contact through repair completion. This role manages repair order documentation, coordinates preventative maintenance & approved repairs, and ensures seamless communication with customers, technicians, service teams, and vendors.

We're looking for a Fleet Maintenance Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for Lease & Rental customers, coordinating all aspects of vehicle service from initial customer contact through repair completion. This role manages repair order documentation, coordinates preventative maintenance & approved repairs, and ensures seamless communication with customers, technicians, service teams, and vendors.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for customer drivers, being available for customer drop offs/pickups and accurately capturing equipment information & service needs
- Assist with the breakdowns, repairs, and preventative maintenance of trucks in fleet
- Create and maintain organized repair orders, reports, and digital documentation
- Coordinate with customers, internal service teams, and vendors to execute approved repairs
- Provide clear and effective communication between customers, technicians, service managers, and service leads so all parties have up-to-date information and status updates
- Actively assist in tracking all repairs, services, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Promote fleet standardization and use of preferred national accounts
- Manage the fleet customer inbox to ensure timely responses, task delegation, and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with DOT, CMV, DOE regulations and internal fleet policies
- Experience with or exposure to fleet maintenance
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work across internal teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Compensation: $20/hr-$25/hr. Compensation will be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education.
