Position Title: Controls Technician

Location: South Carolina

What you will do:
  • Monitor a variety of production systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities

  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks accurately and on time

  • Troubleshoot and program PLC systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair HMI systems

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as multimeters

  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and proper PPE usage

  • Comply with Quality System requirements and documentation

  • Work overtime as required to support production needs

What You Need:

Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree or vocational/technical training in an industrial field plus 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferred
    OR

  • Minimum of 7 years of combined training and hands-on experience

Technical Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC software

  • Experience troubleshooting ladder logic, making edits, and limited programming

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP or Profibus

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and use a multimeter efficiently

  • Understanding of 480V and 24V electrical systems

  • Experience with AC/DC motors and fluid pumps

  • Strong mechanical skills, including gears, gearboxes, chains, and bearings

  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems such as solenoids, cylinders, and diaphragm pumps
