The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
This role oversees the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of the hospital’s technology infrastructure, including monitoring security systems, data storage and backups, patch management, O365 administration, and other duties as assigned to ensure network operation and systems are functioning properly and are available for intended uses. The Senior Systems Administrator will work with the CIO and IT Manager with the research and development of operational procedures that will allow the hospital to advance and thrive using technology. In addition, they will serve as a point of escalation for the IT support team to troubleshoot and bring swift, efficient, and consistent resolution of more difficult technical issues. The incumbent will be a results-driven, self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely via written and verbal communication.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years of experience; or high school diploma and a minimum ten years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience in a multi-site environment.
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Industry certifications (highly preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- CompTIA Security+

Technical Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience with the following:
- Azure, Active Directory and MS Office 365
- VMware, or other virtual server deployment and management
- MS Windows Server Operating Systems
- TCP/IP network configuration and infrastructure
- Common patch management and system monitoring tools
- Data and recovery backup systems
- Firewalls (Checkpoint preferred)
- Storage systems (Pure preferred)
- Endpoint protection and EDR solutions
