Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Residential Drain Cleaner to evaluate, diagnose, and resolve residential drain issues, including main and secondary drain lines. This role plays a critical part in delivering exceptional customer experiences while achieving productivity goals and supporting overall branch performance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ability, excellent customer service skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and resolve residential drain issues safely and efficiently
• Work on main and secondary drain lines
• Ensure all work meets applicable codes and company standards
• Clearly explain recommended solutions and pricing options to customers
• Coordinate sewer camera evaluations when necessary
• Maintain communication with Dispatch and Plumbing Service Manager
• Utilize company-provided tablet and software to document service calls
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Collect payment and request customer reviews after successful service
• Assist plumbing service technicians on various jobs and projects as needed
• Represent the Tom Drexler brand with professionalism and integrity

What we are looking for

• Drain cleaning experience preferred
• Familiarity with residential main and branch drain lines
• Technical or trade school diploma preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to explain repair options clearly and confidently
• Positive attitude and willingness to accept coaching and training
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on customer demand

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs.
• Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and reaching
• Work performed in residential homes, including confined spaces
• Exposure to sewer odors, dust, debris, and varying temperatures
• Safe and courteous driving at all times
• Ability to effectively use an electronic tablet for documentation
