Job Summary: The Flange Seam Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating plasma cutting equipment to accurately cut and prepare steel materials according to specifications. This position ensures production efficiency, material accuracy, and adherence to safety standards while supporting overall fabrication operations within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set correct machine controls for speed, feed rate, depth, and angle for various material thicknesses using provided charts and specifications.
• Measure finished workpieces to ensure they meet required dimensions and inspect for defects using tape measures and other precision instruments.
• Operate overhead crane safety and efficiently to move materials.
• Select proper materials per line load list or work instructions.
• Operate grinders and other tools to clean and prepare materials as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area in compliance with company safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret shop detail drawings.
• Experience with setup and operation of plasma cutting equipment preferred.
• Basic mathematical proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality and accurate work.
