Job Description

Summary

The Parts Driver is responsible for pulling parts, loading and distributing parts packages to various locations as directed. This position is relied upon to control the security of packages, as well as maintain a safe driving record. The driver reports any accidents, mechanical problems and report delays and uses professional communications, demeanor and language.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull parts from inventory to fill orders.
• Load delivery to prevent damage to parts and load trucks safely for transport.
• Determine proper route for efficiency.
• Maintain a good working relationship with customers.
• Responsible for inspecting and reporting any maintenance or repairs needed to delivery vehicles to the Parts Manager.
• Keep a clean vehicle.
• Help with warehouse duties.
• Return parts for credit.
• Collect proper signatures and or cash.
• Turn all paperwork and cash to cashier daily.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork and fun.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service focused
• High school diploma or GED
• 5 years clear driving record- No previous DUI history or moving violations
• Valid driver’s license
• 1 year's previous driver/courier/valet experience
• High level of dependability and honesty

• Clarity of vision to qualify for current Texas Driver’s license

Work Environment

This job operates in various types of vehicles and business environments that may include loud noises, odors or weather conditions. Driving is mostly during the day but could be required to drive in low light conditions.

Physical Demands

Safely drive a variety of vehicles in inclement weather or road conditions, load and unload packages up to 50 lbs. understand maps and routes, established motor vehicle rules and laws. May sit, walk or stand for long periods of time in all weather and temperature conditions. Handles minor vehicle repairs or adds gasoline or oil to vehicle when needed. Repetitive use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, grasping, hearing, seeing and talking.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. Evening, Holiday and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires 90% travel within a geographical area/market.

Valid driver's license is required, and all applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
