This role offers the opportunity to lead the design, development, and optimization of a high-performance, large-scale data infrastructure that powers analytics, operational workflows, and business insights. You will take ownership of the data ecosystem, improving reliability, scalability, and efficiency while partnering with cross-functional teams across engineering, analytics, product, and finance. You will influence the evolution of the companys data stack, mentor peers, and help the organization leverage data effectively for strategic decisions. This position is critical for shaping a scalable data architecture that supports both current operations and future growth.
Accountabilities:
  • Take end-to-end ownership of data warehousing infrastructure, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met.
  • Design, build, and optimize large-scale, high-performance data pipelines for analytics, product insights, and operational workflows.
  • Architect and evolve the data ecosystem, improving reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Lead ETL/ELT development using modern tools such as Redshift, DBT, AWS DMS, and related cloud technologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust, high-quality datasets.
  • Evaluate, integrate, and guide adoption of new technologies to improve the data stack and platform performance.
  • Optimize query performance, data modeling, and warehouse efficiency while managing costs.

Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of building and scaling production-grade systems.
  • Deep expertise with AWS Redshift or equivalent, including performance tuning, table design, and workload management.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, such as DBT, AWS DMS, or similar tools.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
  • Experience building and maintaining AWS-based data platforms, including S3, Lambda, Glue, or EMR.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect for large-scale data processing.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, distributed systems, and modern warehouse/lake design patterns.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills for fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Preferred: experience in fintech or regulated environments, streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis), lakehouse architectures (Snowflake, Databricks), ML pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and large-scale platform migrations.
