Medical Assistant - Associated Neurologists
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$20.76 - $31.15 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Associated Neurologists, where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. Within our care delivery system, the MA organizes care around patients, while engaging a multidisciplinary care team. Join our team and contribute to the well-being of our patients.
Associated Neurologists of BCH (Boulder Community Health) is a leading neurology practice providing expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of neurological conditions. Serving Boulder and the surrounding areas, the practice is dedicated to offering personalized, patient-centered care for individuals dealing with disorders of the brain, spine, and nervous system. The team of board-certified neurologists specializes in managing complex neurological issues, including stroke, epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and more. Qualifications
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program preferred, or
• Colorado LPN license in good standing preferred, or
• Pass a national Medical Assistant Certification exam preferred.
• BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.
Responsibilities
• Takes patient histories, vital signs and thoroughly documents in patient chart.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.
• Performs venipunctures and fingerstick phlebotomy, throat cultures, urinalysis, EKG’s, and other laboratory procedures as directed
